Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the principles and concepts associated with the material delivered in each area;
  • Apply their acquired knowledge and understanding to the solution of relevant problems, including unseen and numerical problems;
  • Apply their knowledge and understanding to rationalise observations and trends, including previously unseen data;
  • Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of the synthesis, properties, structure determination, reactivity and bonding of s-, p- and d-block compounds.
