Aims of the Programme The programme aims to develop rounded, confident individuals who are ready to outperform in their chosen career. We aim to develop the analytical capabilities of individuals, encourage critical thinking and cultivate independent learners who are able to evaluate and integrate knowledge from multiple sources. We also aim to improve student communication and presentation skills, and encourage students to develop a deeper approach to learning that allows them to formulate their own student focused understanding of concepts related to accounting and finance. This involves achieving a balance between conceptual and applied aspects, students will engage with theoretical frameworks through financial accounting, management accounting or financial markets while applying these concepts through varied assessments. We aim to nurture understanding in a breadth of disciplines and advance student team building qualities that will help to enhance employability and a growth mindset, by encouraging students to reflect on their work and behaviours.
