Aims of the Programme "The programme aims to develop rounded, confident individuals who are ready to outperform in their chosen career.
We aim to:
a) Develop the analytical capabilities of individuals
b) Improve our students? communication and presentation skills
c) Encourage our students to be critical thinkers with the self-assurance to make decisions based on the evidence provided.
d) Cultivate independent learners who look to critically evaluate material by integrating knowledge from multiple sources.
e) Encourage students to develop a deeper approach to learning that allows them to formulate their own student focused understanding of concepts related to accounting and finance.
f) Advance team building qualities that will help to enhance employability.

Entry to the suite of BSc programmes in Dubai is into year One (stage 1). Year one is a foundation year and are given a thorough grounding in the subject areas that they will continue to develop in later years. The modules studied mirror those on the UK programme.
In Stage Two we adopt a specialist approach. As students are only offered the professional accounting pathway. All of the in Year 2 are compulsory. Stage Three offers modules which will enable them to buuild on knowledge gained in year 1 and year 2. Modules continues the focus on developing accounting knowledge with the aim of maxumising exemptions from the progessional accounting bodies. The year is underpinned by a compulsory Extended Essay, which allows the student to investigate in-depth an area of personal interest. The optional modules offered in the UK, the modules have been chosen as the most appropriate modules for the coherence of the programme, and the most suitable for the Dubai market.
Students completing this degree will qualify for partial exemption from the professional examinations of the ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS, and CPA (Australia). "
