The placement must be completed prior to the Christmas vacation. Students undertaking a Professional Skills module at level I will not be able to undertake a Professional Skills module at level H.
JH Theology + Religion Students at Stage II who opt to take a dissertation (as opposed to 20 credits of independent study) elect to do one of the following: a dissertation in Theology (Model A); the equivalent in their other subject (Model B); a bridging dissertation between their two disciplines (Model C). Students following Model A take the 20 credit Dissertation Preparation module (which may under certain circumstances be taken not-for-credit with the approval of the programme leader) and then additional optional modules making up a total of 40/60/80 credits of modules in Theology and Religion depending on what weighting between their two disciplines they have chosen at Stage II. Students following Model B would only take optional modules within Theology and Religion making up a total of 40/60/80 credits. Students following Model C (the bridging dissertation) can choose in which discipline they would take the equivalent of the Dissertation Preparation module but would be expected to take such a module in one of the two subjects. An indicative list of optional modules is below (the list of optional modules is subject to change and will be advertised during the option choice process for continuing students each year)
Research and Professional Skills (required only for students electing to do a dissertation in Theology (Model A) -not available to Model B Students who are doing their dissertation or equivalent in their other subject.
