This module builds on the interdisciplinary research skills that students will have learned in Interdisciplinarity I and supports students in developing advanced interdisciplinarity research skills. As with Interdisciplinarity I, the topic may change each year in line with global challenges and research advances; the topic is for its interest and significance, and to support the module’s skills focused outcomes. Whereas Interdisciplinarity I focuses on a theme and emphasises academic research outcomes, this module tackles a real-world problem and requires students to act as a disciplinary expert in their research group.
