The following must be taken

With the approval of the programme leader students may also take an approved module or modules offered by a School or Department other than History.

Students wishing to take 60 credits in History also choose 20 credits from the following:

With the approval of the programme leader students may also take an approved module or modules offered by a School or Department other than History.

For any student wishing to take the 40 credit History Dissertation in their final year, 09 24845 Research Methods (Diss Prep) will be compulsory and replace one of the choices above. Students must be doing a minimum of 60 credits in History if they wish to do Reseach Methods.

Students must choose both Advanced modules or both Intermediate modules: 1: 40 CR

NB: To proceed from Stage II to Stage IIa (Year Abroad), a student must have a minimum of 100 credits at Level I including the relevant Core III and Core IV language modules

In addition to the core language modules, students follow additional Level I modules from Russian Studies to the relevant credit value for their respective programme, to a combined total of 120 credits. Depending on the number of credits students opt to take in each language, optional module choices may be restricted (please refer to the relevant language section in the BA Modern Languages handbook and language-specfic module choice information.
