M.Sci. Chemistry with Industrial Experience with Year in Computer Science Full-time

Diploma of Higher Education (as an exit qualification) after satisfactorily completing 200 credits with at least 100 credits at Level I (Level 2). Students may transfer to the BSc Chemistry or MSci Chemistry degree programmes at the end of Stage 2. Students may transfer to the MSci Chemistry programme providing a minimum of 220 credits have been accumulated by the end of Stage 2 and an Overall Stage 2 mark of >60% has been obtained, normally to include passes in all six core Chemistry modules (Inorganic Chemistry IIa and IIb, Organic Chemistry IIa and IIb, Physical Chemistry IIa and IIb) at Stage 2. Progress to stage 3 of the Chemistry with Industrial Experience degree programme requires an overall Year 2 mark of >60%, normally to include passes in all six core Chemistry modules (Inorganic Chemistry IIa and IIb, Organic Chemistry IIa and IIb, Physical Chemistry IIa and IIb) at Stage 2 and a minimum of 220 credits. Progression to stage 3 of the Chemistry with Industrial Experience requires the student to have been offered and have accepted a placement position which has been approved by the School of Chemistry. Students who have secured a placement but who fail to achieve the criteria for the MSci programme, as set out above, will be permitted to transfer to BSc with Industrial Experience.
