B.Sc. Theoretical Physics Full-time

Year: 2
2022/23 Session

Students can proceed to Year 3 having failed a maximum of 20 credits from the following modules: Physics and Communications Skills (03 01149), Particles and Nuclei & A Quantum Approach to Solids (03 26017) and two optional modules. Students must pass Physics Laboratory 2 (03 00943) if taking this module. A student may transfer onto the BSc Theoretical Physics programme from another physics programme at the end of stage 2 if they have achieved 70% or above in the Mathematics for Physicists 2 module. Such a student would normally be expected to have also passed the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian Mechanics and Eigenphysics modules.
