Students choose 120 credits of optional modules. This may include up to 40 credits of appropriate level languages. History: Students choose ONE 20-credit option in Semester 1 You will also take the compulsory 20-credit Topics in History module in Semester 2.
Students taking 40 credits in CAHA and 80 credits in History

In consultation with the programme lead, students taking 60 or 80 credits in History may replace 20 credits in Semester 1 with ONE 20 credit Future or Professional Skills module OR students taking 60 or 80 credits in CAHA may replace 20 credits with ONE 20-credit skills module in either semester.
This list is indicative; not all modules will run each year depending on staff availability.
Students taking 60-80 credits in History, with the approval of the programme lead, may also choose up to 40 credits of approved modules offered by a Department other than History in place of one or two options from Lists A or B.

Students taking 60 or 80 credits in History may also choose the 20 credit Semester 1 LI History in Theory and Practice module OR ONE 20-credit Future or Professional Skills module in Semester 1. OR Students taking 60-80 credits in CAHA may choose ONE 20-credit Skills module in either Semester.
Students may also apply to undertake a Professional Skills module at level I. If successful this will be taken in place of 20 credits of taught modules. The credits to be dropped will be discussed with the programme convenor. The placement must be completed prior to the Christmas vacation. Students undertaking a Professional Skills module at level I will not be able to undertake a Professional Skills module at level H.
