Aims of the Programme
This programme aims to develop students? interest in and knowledge and understanding of archaeology and social and cultural anthropology in their broadest terms. The programme aims to develop an innovative range of transferable skills in research, analysis and presentation through the study and understanding of both past and present human cultures from around the world. The programme will facilitate intellectual development by encouraging independent and critical thinking. As a single honours programme students, can have extensive freedom in their final year of study to specialise in either archaeology or anthropology. The year abroad will also offer opportunities in both disciplines for students to widen their knowledge and understanding of cultures overseas.
