Aims of the Programme To enable students to become familiar with the main characteristic elements of English law and the English legal system, including particularly the authoritative sources of law, the characteristic methods of decision-making, and the principles of selected areas of substantive law.

To understand and use the English language in contexts involving some legal technicality with a moderate degree of proficiency

To apply their knowledge of English law to situations of limited complexity in order to provide arguable conclusions for practical problems (actual or hypothetical)
Skill in the use and management of English legal information technology
