Aims of the Programme The aim of pathway is to provide an entry route to our degree programmes for students who do not have the traditional requirements for direct entry to first year. Typically this will be students from a 12-year education system; or students that have not studied the correct combination of subjects. Successful completion of the foundation year in Dubai allows direct entry into year 1 of an appropriate degree programme on the UoB Edgbaston campus or UoB Dubai campus, subject to the student meeting subject specific progression criteria (see attached document).

Mathematical techniques including functions (e.g. quadratics and polynomials), further calculus (e.g. differentiation, integration, differential equations) and numerical methods
Electronics and magnetism
The representation, storage, exchange and manipulation of information
