Aims of the Programme "The programme aims to develop rounded, confident individuals who are ready to outperform in their chosen career. We aim to:a) Develop the analytical capabilities of individuals

Students are expected to have Knowledge and Understanding of: Which will be gained through the following Teaching and Learning methods: and assessed using the following methods:
The foundations of accounting and finance in both conceptual and applied aspects;
The main current technical accounting language and practices and be able to apply them to current accounting contexts (A);
The alternative technical language and practices of accounting and be able to apply them to currnt and future accounting contexts (A);
The skills in recording and summarizing transactions and other economic events, in the preparation of financial statements, in analysing the operations of a business and in financial analysis and projections (A);
The contemporary theories and empirical evidnece concerning accounting and the firm and be able to evaluate critically such theories and evidence (A);
The theories and empirical evidence concerning financial management, risk and the operation of the capital markets (A);
The international perspectives on accouting and professional ethics
An awareness of issues of financial management, risk and the operation of capital markets.
