B.A. Theology and Religion with Semester Abroad Full-time

Year: 2
2022/23 Session

The Theology and Religion Semester Abroad module consists of the equivalent of 60 credits of modules from their overseas institution. The choice of modules at the overseas institution MUST be approved by the Senior Tutor (Theology and Religion UG Programmes)

The following must be taken:

Module Title Code Credits Semester
LI Dissertation Preparation 09 28288 20 Semester 2
Theology and Religion Semester Abroad 09 28517 60 Full Term

In exceptional circumstances, by special permission of the programme leader, the Dissertation Preparation module (09 28288) may be audited rather than taken for credit. Submission deadline will be extended for the components of assessment for students on the Semester Abroad and contact will be maintained and support provided via email by the Dissertation Tutor and Supervisor during Semester Abroad

Students must then take 40 credits from the following list of optional modules during Semester 1 (the following is merely an exemplary list - precise options offered each year may vary). Students taking the Semester Abroad option are NOT required to take the Placement module (but may do if they choose). If students taking the Semester Abroad wish to take what would normally be 20 credit modules running across both semesters it may be possible to register them for the 10 credit version of such modules for Semester 1 set up for Erasmus students. This is subject to the approval of the Senior Tutor (Theology and Religion UG Programmes).

The placement must be completed prior to the Christmas vacation.
