Aims of the Programme This is a unique qualification that will enable students to gain a foundation degree (FdSc) from the University of Birmingham, and also gain the skills required to become a member of The Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA), subject to status and application.
The BSc programme will allow students who already hold the FdSc (and are members/assistant members of the PGA) to continue to study to Honours level. The aim of the programme is to allow students to achieve a degree (which is often now a requirement of the industry and for international work visas) on an online distance learning basis, using a framework/process with which they are already familiar. The programme will engage students in a theoretical and applied critical analysis of their industry and their position within it.
