B.A. Ancient History and Archaeology and History with Year in Sustainability Full-time

The following must be taken:

LI Topics in History 09 39689 20 Semester 2

Students choose 120 credits of optional modules. This may include up to 40 credits of appropriate level languages.
CAHA: Students choose LI Understanding Ancient Societies OR LI Material Culture and Heritage AND ONE 20-credit option in Semester 1 AND TWO 20-credit options in Semester 2, which may include ONE 20-credit skills module in either semester.

History: Students choose ONE 20-credit option in Semester 1 You will also take the compulsory 20-credit Topics in History module in Semester 2.

Students taking 40 credits in CAHA and 80 credits in History

CAHA: Students choose LI Understanding Ancient Societies OR OR LI Material Culture and Heritage in Semester 1 AND ONE 20 credit option in Semester 1, which may include ONE 20-credit skills module.
History: Students choose 40 credits of options (20-credits in each semester) AND ONE 20-credit Research Methods option from list C. You will also take the compulsory 20-credit Topics in History module in Semester 2

OR

CAHA: Students choose LI Understanding Ancient Societies OR LI Material Culture and Heritage in Semester 1 AND ONE 20-credit option in Semester 2, which may include ONE 20-credit skills module. History: Students choose 40 credits of options (20-credits in each semester) AND LI History in Theory and Practice. You will also take the compulsory 20-credit Topics in History module in Semester 2.

CAHA: Students choose LI Understanding Ancient Societies OR LI Material Culture and Heritage in Semester 1 AND ONE 20-credit option in Semester 2.
History: Students choose 40 credits of options (20-credits in each semester) AND ONE 20-credit Skills module. You will also take the compulsory 20-credit Topics in History module in Semester 2.



Students taking 60 credits in CAHA and 60 credits in History

CAHA: Students choose LI Understanding Ancient Societies OR LI Material Culture and Heritage in Semester 1 AND TWO 20-credit options in Semester 2, which may include ONE 20-credit skills module in Semester 2.
History: Students choose ONE 20-credit option in Semester 1 AND LI History in Theory and Practice. You will also take the compulsory 20-credit Topics in History module in in Semester 2

OR

CAHA: Students choose LI Understanding Ancient Societies OR LI Material Culture and Heritage in Semester 1 AND TWO 20-credit options in Semester 2.

Students may also apply to undertake a Professional Skills module at level I. If successful this will be taken in place of 20 credits of taught modules. The credits to be dropped will be discussed with the programme convenor. The placement must be completed prior to the Christmas vacation. Students undertaking a Professional Skills module at level I will not be able to undertake a Professional Skills module at level H.
