M.Sci. Theoretical Physics Full-time
Year: 1
2023/24 Session
Year 1 students on the MSci Theoretical Physics programme must pass at least 100 credits to proceed to Year 2, having failed a maximum of 20 credits from the following modules: Introduction to Probability and Statistics (03 33961), Special Relativity and Dynamical Systems (03 33962), Chaos and Non-linear Systems A (03 17483), Chaos in Discrete and Continuous Systems (03 33948), and any optional modules. All other modules are progression requirements and must be passed to progress to Year 2.
Students also need to obtain 70% or above in the Mathematics for Physicists 1A (03 34459) module. If they fail to achieve this, they will be transferred onto the MSci Physics programme.
