This is the core intermediate microeconomics module. Its main goals are to provide students with a more in-depth understanding of core microeconomic topics covered in the introductory Principles of Economics module and to equip students with analytical skills and tools that are necessary for undertaking a more comprehensive economic analysis. This module provides the solid underpinnings needed in all microeconomics based modules in the final year. The module is primarily concerned with the theories of the firm and consumer behaviour, and the theory of perfectly competitive markets, supply and demand analysis.
