Learning Outcomes
On completion of this module the student will be able to:1. Conduct a literature search, including the use of electronic sources and on-line databases.2. Review critically the literature on a given topic.3. Formulate a clear research question along with a structured plan for answering it by empirical study.4. Carry out a substantial empirical study using methods appropriate to the research field. 5. Organise and analyse a body of data in a professional manner using appropriate computational methods.6. Write a clear and succinct report of the study in a form that would be suitable for publication in a research journal.7. Describe the study and its main findings in a clear oral presentation using suitable visual aids.8. Evaluate the success of the study and discuss possible lines of further enquiry.
