Description This module takes industry examples to show how techniques learned in earlier modules have been made specific to that industry. How advanced SHE can be used to minise project risk.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module the student should be able to:
  • List key challenges in implementation of projects across a range of industries;
  • Compare and contrast safety models in various industries, and apply to an operation or project;
  • Identify construction site or location risks and propose solutions;
  • Discuss importance of clear role definition and design a detailed organisation, project communication and control structure for a project;
  • Create procurement strategy for project;
  • Analyse control data to determine project status and predict outcome.
Assessment 23111-01 : Overall Mark : Coursework (100%)
Assessment Methods & Exceptions Assessed tutorials 20%:
(i) key challenges across industries 10% of module;
(ii) identifying construction site risks 10% of module

Written Report, 80% of module, maximum of 3000 words
