Description

This module will explore characteristics of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working within adult care services and strategies for managing the difficulties that can arise.   
Whilst addressing  all elements of the common framework of knowledge and skills, the module addresses particularly those elements concerning inter-professional, multi-agency working, networking, community based services and accountability.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the module the student should be able to:

  • Describe different models of team working and partnership and their application to adult social care practice;.
  • Describe and evaluate the impact of different models of disability and vulnerability on the organisation and delivery of community and residential services to adults.
  • Describe and evaluate different strategies for working with and where possible avoiding the development of conflict between different disciplines and agencies within adult care services.
