This module affords students the opportunity of detailed critical engagement with a specific issue in Theology & Religion either in an independent study context or in conjunction with a short series of lectures on the special study topic.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module students should be able to:
Analyse and explain key events, concepts and issues relevant to the subject under scrutiny;
Compare and evaluate the main scholarly views on the subject under investigation;
Critically evaluate the theological and/or religious context of, and developing trends in, the subject under exploration;
Work with a significant degree of learner independence to explain, analyse and evaluate the material under scrutiny;
Summarise, analyse and evaluate the subject material clearly and effectively.
