Description
The module encompasses all aspects of observing the atmosphere through direct and indirect measurements/observations. There are three main components to the module; conventional in-situ measurements, field observations and remote sensing methods (satellite and ground-based).
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module students should be able to:
Understand meteorological instrumentation and observations;
Appreciate observation accuracies and requirements;
Acquire and interpret meteorological data;
Understand satellite systems and subsequent observations.

24481-05 : Examination : Exam (Centrally Timetabled) - Written Unseen (50%)

Reassessment: A second attempt is allowed, normally conducted during the supplementary exam period, also centrally timetabled.
