Description The module will comprise a series of lectures, seminars and group sessions focused on current research in neuromuscular adaptations to training. The module will focus on understanding the physiological underpinnings of the neural, muscular and soft tissue adaptations that occur with training and following injury. We will consider specific adaptations that occur across a range of sports. Training and rehabilitation interventions will be evaluated.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of neuromusculoskeletal physiology
  • Critically appraise current methodology to assess neuromuscular adaptations associated with training and rehabilitation.
  • Evaluate training and rehabilitation interventions.
