Exclusions
Description This module is taught throughout in the German language. It covers the study of the structure of a constitutional complaint and familiarises the students with key aspects of German Basic Rights (Grundrechte). Students practice German legal methodology (Gutachtenstil).
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the key principles of the German constitutional complaint, German Basic Rights and German legal methodology;
  • Identify and contrast the main differences between the German legal system and the English legal system;
  • Access and present critically German Constitutional Law legislation, cases and German academic writing;
  • Compose case studies and essays using the German language.
