Description This module introduces the core concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The principal focus of the module will be on the underlying principles such as knowledge representation, search, decision theory, probability, and statistical learning.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • Explain and discuss a range of problems and techniques in artificial intelligence and machine learning
  • Understand applications of AI to real world situations and possible problems and limitations
  • Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to solve problems
