Exclusions
Description	In Dance 3A students choose two core dance disciplines to focus on, in order to develop and hone the necessary skills required for a Musical Theatre professional. The classes will focus on learning advanced level technical skills which will then be applied to the performance of a taught solo from each chosen discipline. The module aims to further enhance the knowledge, understanding and demonstration of the central principles of each chosen genre, to an advanced level of performance. Students are also encouraged to work in a mature and confident manner, in preparation for life as a professional with the Musical Theatre industry. The ability to respond constructively to feedback and to be self-reflective are also encouraged.
Learning Outcomes	By the end of the module students should be able to: Embody and perform a detailed knowledge and understanding of the appropriate technical and aesthetic principles in a range of dance disciplines; Embody and perform the advanced application of appropriate technique, and performance and interpretative skills to particular genres of dance;Perform taught solos from the established dance repertoire to a professional standard with attention to stylistic coherence and detail in each chosen work.
