Description This module aims to provide students with the opportunity to prepare for a professional career in the dance and musical theatre industry. Students will be given the opportunity to work with professional choreographers, directors and musical directors with a varied viewpoint drawn from the professional world. Performance 3 encourages students to experience differing working methods in order to expose them to a rich and varied learning environment focused on producing productions of a high professional standard.
Students will appear in one full-length , musical and will work with professionals and a videographer to create a filmed show-reel containing the students choice of dance and musical theatre numbers. Rehearsals for the musical aim to provide students with the experience of how a professional show is mounted, from casting and rehearsals through to the technical rehearsals and final public performance. The show-reel will enable students an opportunity to work with professionals one-to-one, in a professional setting, and also give the students a professionally edited show-reel to send to agents upon graduation to aid in their potential for employment.
