Students on the module will undertake a work experience placement involving a minimum of 70 hours/10-days – either in person, or remotely – in a project or role that provides a ‘graduate-level’ opportunity that helps students develop transferrable professional skills, knowledge and experience on which they can base an effective reflective assessment. Placements can be self-sourced, with support from the Placements Officer, or students can apply to bespoke roles in a Bank of Placements, partnering with employers that reflect the type of aspirational roles/sectors indicated by CAL students through Careers Registration data. The module is supported by a set number of contact hours divided between introductory and pre-placement preparation, and post-placement assessment preparation.
