Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • Design synchronous and asynchronous digital systems, and undertake a series of practical studies using logic devices.
  • Analyse single‐phase, phase controlled converters operating in continuous conduction mode;
  • Design and quantitatively evaluate non‐ideal transformers, brushless DC motors, induction motors, principles of power transfer and voltage control, and in power systems;
