Description In this module, the mathematical foundations required for the programme will be introduced. It will review and extend students knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, differentiation, integration and the solution of differential equations.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • To apply the concepts of algebraic and trigonometric techniques to solve the engineering problems.
  • To demonstrate the use of differential calculus techniques to solve engineering problems.
  • To demonstrate the use of integral calculus methods to solve engineering problems.
  • To apply appropriate methods to solve differential equations in engineering.
