Description	This is a research-project-based module. Students are required to undertake projects chosen from a wide and varied list of titles that are relevant to the subject of their degree programme. The work is designed to promote independent learning, although academic support is provided. The results of the work are communicated using a written dissertation and oral presentation.
Learning Outcomes	By the end of the module students should be able to: Demonstrate an ability to carry out project-based work; Demonstrate an ability for independent learning and time management; Demonstrate an ability for reflection upon and analysis of results, and for forward planning; Demonstrate an ability to communicate the results of their research using written and oral methods.
