Exclusions
Description Students attend a host university overseas for one academic year. They follow modules as agreed with their home school/department, which should build on their existing knowledge from the first two years. The modules to be studied will be equivalent in credit terms to a full year of study at Birmingham, but subjects will be varied according to availability and student preference; the opportunity to study subjects not available at Birmingham will be encouraged.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the subjects studied;
  • Understand the different approaches applied to the subjects in an academic institution outside the UK;
  • Demonstrate an ability to work and produce assessed work independently.
