Description The aim of the module is to provide an opportunity for students to study at an international university of good repute for a year and to allow students to acquire first-hand experience of living or working in a foreign country.

Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • Apply and demonstrate knowledge in relevant subjects.
  • Adjust to a new culture.
  • Demonstrate the ability to study relevant topics at an international institution and appreciate the difference between study in the UK and overseas.
  • Improve the use of a foreign language in a non-English speaking country, where applicable.
Assessment
Assessment Methods & Exceptions Students need to take 30 ECTS (or equivalent) per semester. The Year Abroad will be assessed on a pass/fail basis only. Further information on assessing the Year Abroad can be found in the Code of Practice on Taught Programme and Module Assessment and Feedback.
