Interdisciplinarity is often at the forefront of pioneering research. But how can we practise it successfully? Since every example of interdisciplinarity is unique, how do we become excellent interdisciplinarians over time? On this introductory module, students will study and practice interdisciplinarity as a rigorous research process. This module utilises a variety of teaching techniques, including student-centred pedagogy, so that students have control over what they wish to focus on as a vehicle for practising interdisciplinarity. You will practise higher-order skills – critical reflection, creative thinking, comparative thinking across disciplines – that will help you to think as an interdisciplinarian.
