Description This module builds on the creative practice work and understanding students developed at LC, enabling them to apply their skills and understanding to designing, developing and delivering creative outputs in response to real world challenges.

Students will work individually and in inclusive teams (designed to work to their strengths and accommodate individual access needs). They will learn and use a range of digital tools, techniques and technologies to produce portfolios of work that may include social media content, blog posts, podcasts, infographics, videos, games and/or other interactive narratives. They will also reflect on their work, the tools, techniques and technologies they use, and their interactions with peers and clients. In the process, they'll enhance their understanding of their own strengths, capabilities and contributions in ways they can apply to future creative, work and study.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • design and realise distinctive and creative work in 1 or more forms (eg: sound; video; text; or other digital media) using 2 creative technologies/platforms in response to a real world challenge
  • demonstrate, and reflect on collaborative and individual working in a creative practice context
  • reflect on, analyse and evaluate the creative processes, tools, techniques and technologies they apply
  • demonstrate an understanding of professional practices relevant to cultural and communicative industries, and ways of conceptualising creativity and authorship.
Assessment
Assessment Methods & Exceptions Assessment:

3 x portfolios/bundles of work comprising text and digital assets, which altogether equate to 3,500 words of text.

Portfolio/bundle 1: 30%
Portfolio/bundle 2: 45%
Portfolio bundle 3: 25%
