Exclusions
Description	This module will help students to develop and tailor their translation skills to workplace scenarios in which translation plays a key role. As well as focusing on translation technique and writing skills, the workshops will provide hands-on experience of professional translation software and best practice guidance on post-editing of machine translation. Students will work on non-fiction texts both in groups and as individuals, translating from their language of study into English.
Learning Outcomes	By the end of the module students should be able to: adapt their mode of expression to fit the genre they are writing in and the audience they are writing for show awareness of appropriate and viable syntactic, semantic and pragmatic strategies for translating fact-check and edit their translations to a professional standard carry out basic translation functions using a professional translation tool, such as Trados
