Description

This is a totally laboratory-based module, covering aspects of synthetic (inorganic and organic) and physical chemistry. The module additionally involves developing skills in report writing, the interpretation of data and in the presentation of scientific investigations.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the module the student should be able to:

  • Demonstrate synthetic and manipulative skills in the laboratory;
  • Treat, analyse and interpret data;
  • Present scientific observations in a coherent and sound manner, and to maintain a laboratory diary.
