Description This module forms part of a major project which is worth 50 credits. The module comprises a written study of the overall project, a review of the relevant literature, a description of the methods and results, analysis and conclusions
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module the student should be able to:
  • Write a project report in good technical English;
  • Produce figures, diagrams and tables which are clear, legible and informative;
  • Display a familiarity with the research literature appropriate to the project;
  • Display an awareness of the background, physics and technology which underlies the area of work;
  • Describe clearly the work which has been conducted;
  • Present the work in a logical and coherent fashion which highlights the major academic threads;
  • Draw appropriate conclusions from the work and its significance.
