Exclusions
Description The module examines in depth the fundamental properties of molecules and matter and how we observe them, building on the principles and concepts delivered in a range of modules in Levels C and I. Areas covered include experimental techniques and theory for probing and understanding atomic, molecular and larger scale systems.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module the student should be able to:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the principles and concepts associated with the material delivered in each area;
  • Apply their acquired knowledge and understanding to the solution of relevant problems, including unseen examples;
  • Apply their knowledge and understanding to rationalise observations and trends, including previously unseen data;
