Description	This course introduces students to a range of skills and techniques which are useful to Geographers. These include interpersonal skills, team working, presentations, training in essay writing and a variety of both human and physical geography field techniques.
Learning Outcomes	By the end of the module the student should have: An enhanced knowledge of appropriate study skills including oral presentation A working knowledge of the university library and appropriate e-resources An enhanced knowledge of how to work in a team The ability to demonstrate a variety of field techniques* The ability to write up a field project* The ability to conduct self-evaluation of essays The ability to demonstrate good essay writing practice. Improve presentation skills within a small group format The ability to evaluate the seminar skills of peers * Not applicable to Geology-Geography students
