Exclusions
Description During their fourth year, students also undertake this Research Skills module to develop and enhance their scientific communication skills, and associated skills such as searching the literature. Training is provided in literature searching, referencing and scientific writing. The module is closely aligned to the research project being undertaken, and uses the research topic as a basis for preparation of a research paper.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • Construct a fully referenced literature survey for a specific topic and against a specified format;
  • Communicate research findings through drafting a research paper against a specified format [Chemical Communications];
  • Appreciate the different styles required by the communication methods employed.
