In this module you will examine the relationships between people and place, considering the ways that spatialised patterns of power and inequality and global processes are experienced at a range of scales. You will gain an understanding of the key ideas that underpin Human Geography and its sub-disciplines. Learning is supported by a range of local and global case study material and examples, engaging with broad array of contemporary research by members of the department. This module provides the basis for the more specialised year 2 and year 3 modules.
