Description This module builds on the knowledge and skills developed in the Introductory Mathematics module. Functions and numerical methods will be covered.
Learning Outcomes By the end of the module students should be able to:
  • Use mathematical proof and functional analysis
  • Use trigonometric identities and solve trigonometric equations
  • Decompose rational functions into partial fractions and use functions in modelling and graphing
Assessment 34678-01 : exam : Exam (School Arranged) - Open Book (50%)
34678-02 : continuous assignments : Class Test (50%)
Assessment Methods & Exceptions 20% on line quizzes, 30% from 2 written class tests, 50% on line exam (2 hours)
