By the end of the module the student will be able to:
- define and evaluate the role of the corporation and the board;
- critically contrast the alternative types of board structures across the world;
- identify and explain the legal duties and liabilities of non-executive directors;
- critically assess the role of the Chairman and non-executive directors;
- critically evaluate the scope of activities undertaken by key board committees;
- demonstrate effective critical analysis skills in relation to case studies - particularly in relation to cases where conflict and ethical dilemmas need resolving.
