Exclusions
Description This module concerns UK and European regulation of financial markets and professional standards and ethics, with a predominant focus on the UK and the Financial Services Authority.

This module aims to provide students with a solid grounding for further study of finance and for professional practice. In addition studying this module will also prepare students for the related professional exam of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment which they can chose to sit as a separate external assessment.
Learning Outcomes

By the end of the module students should be able to:

  • describe and critically evaluate the UK Financial Services;
  • explain and evaluate the place of integrity & ethics in professional practice;
  • discuss and criticise the regulatory infrastructure of UK financial services;
  • evaluate the provisions relating to the conduct of business.
