Description
This module provides students with the opportunity to carry out an individual marketing research project. Students will work with a supervisor to agree a topic and to discuss issues of methodology and analysis.
Students investigate in depth an area integral to their programme of study utilising the theoretical knowledge gained during years 1 and 2, and undertaking research and data collection within the context of marketing.
Project findings and recommendations will relate to advancement in understanding of academic theory and to practical managerial implications.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module students should be able to:
Manage and deliver an independent Marketing Research Project;
Make an appropriate and justified selection of methods of enquiry;
Work independently with research participants and/or secondary data involved in the project and to achieve the objectives of the project;
Critically evaluate arguments, assumptions and explanatory concepts in order to come to reasoned conclusions;
Demonstrate initiative, proactivity and creativity in achieving the objectives of the research project.
