This module comprises of the two placements for the BSc Business Management with Marketing Year in Industry.
Students take two separate placements and will be assessed at the end of each placement.
This module allows students to put into practice their theoretical knowledge gained during their academic study.
To meet local educational requirements students will take:
• Placement 1 during the summer vacation at the end of year 1 (minimum 3 months)
• Placement 2 during the summer at the end of year 2 (minimum 3 months)
We are also able to offer students the opportunity to take their second placement in the UK. The University of Birmingham has initial approval from the Home Office to allow students to take placement 2 in the UK provided they study their year two at the home campus.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the module students should be able to:
Display knowledge of and experience in the application of disciplines appropriate to Marketing in context
Apply theoretical models to current organisational strategies and problems
Develop the transferable skills that employers today, and indeed students, are increasingly seeking.
Display a suitable depth of understanding of macro-environmental issues impacting the organisation.
Be able to articulate reflections on their work placement experience and demonstrate future learning from such experiences
