This module will provide a broad overview of organisational behaviour. The topic is to be examined through a look at key concepts, their applications and limitations. The module will include a general introduction to business that will help students to have greater appreciation of the subjects that they are about to study.
This module will focus on introducing subjects linked to accounting that will help to introduce the foundation of business and accounting that will help our students to settle into life in the Business School. (Business knowledge will be introduced that will enable students to transfer to the Business Programme if desired at the end of year one should students wish to change from ACCFIN).The info systems content of the module focuses on the nature, detail and development of information accounting systems.

Identify the different levels at which organisations operate and the different perspectives from which they can be studied;
Appraise the role, function and operation of internal controls and corporate systems within modern business environments;
Identify what it means to study business.
