This module delivered mainly in French, and making use of our digital language laboratories, will develop understanding of the French business environment and introduce students to the type of vocabulary and grammatical structures needed to complete a range of business tasks such as applying for a job, writing and answering business letters, writing minutes, handling phone calls etc., as well as reinforce all four language skills (writing, reading, listening and speaking) through a range of individual exercises as well as a group project which will require them to work on an advertising task and involve them in a business situation role-play

By the end of the module the student should be able to:
Write different types of written business communication in French
Deal with some common aspects of oral business communications in French
Retrieve information from French audio-visual sources
Retrieve information from French texts
Develop organisation, planning, decision-making, time-keeping, communication and IT skills
Work as an effective member of a team
